Preserving Legacy, One Repair at a Time: Ms. Robinson

Meet Ms. Robinson—a resilient homeowner, loving grandmother, and current resident of her family home in Atlanta. Like many in our community, she reached out to the Nehemiah Project Community Development Corporation (NPCDC) for support after noticing several plumbing issues in her home.
From a persistent toilet leak and a bathtub that wouldn’t hold water, to outdated pipes, faulty faucet handles, and a broken kitchen sink sprayer—Ms. Robinson was facing a number of repairs that made daily life more challenging.

Thanks to the Care and Conserve Plumbing Repair Program (CCPRP), a partnership between NPCDC and the City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management, Ms. Robinson received the help she needed—at no cost to her.

Not only are her plumbing issues resolved, but her home is once again a safe, functioning space where she can continue caring for her grandchildren and carrying on the legacy of the very house she grew up in.

This is more than a repair—it’s restoration. It's about community and preserving the places we call home.
