Vivian and Rosalyn’s Story: Empowering Our Seniors to Stay Home
At 98 years old, Ms. Vivian has called Mozley Park home for over six decades. When an unexplained water bill surged past $1,000, her daughter Rosalyn reached out to the City of Atlanta’s Care and Conserve program, which connected them with the Nehemiah Project CDC.
While previous inspections found nothing, our team identified the root cause: aging infrastructure. In a single day, our "exceptional and attentive" crew:
Replaced failing pipes in the basement.
Installed new faucets in the kitchen and bathrooms.
Resolved high-cost sewage issues to ensure financial stability.
"She does not want to leave her home." Her daughter reiterated. Our mission is to ensure seniors like Ms. Vivian don't have to. By providing critical plumbing repairs at no cost, we remove the barriers that threaten the independence of our community's elders.
We are honored to partner with City of Atlanta Watershed Management to keep our long-time residents safe, dry, and where they desire to be.
